Very Rare Vintage Bear Steiff/blue Mohair/replies 1908/all Art. /nine/1995/18cm

Very rare vintage steiff bear / mohair blue / stamped "replices 1908" / any art. / new / acquired in 1995 / approx. I bought this bear on April 18, 1995 in Canada. I sell it because for reasons of age, I separate myself from my very important and eclectic collection of dolls and bears. They are extremely well designed and made, mostly from an infinitely meticulous work done by hand.

The only word steiff is a guarantee of high quality or even exceptional. Pleasant little blue mohair teddy bear, cut mid-rase. It is all articulated and drunk very firmly.

Head: small and wonderfully well proportioned. Well thought in its forms, just what it takes, so nicely rounded.

The snout that points quite significantly forward is also harmonious in its roundness. The triangular nose and the mouth in reverse are embroidered with black cotton. The eyes are dark amber plastic with large black pupil.

The horned ears, wide apart, are rather small and positioned from the seams. Of course, there is the famous gold metal button holding the label of inscription fabric, and of orange yellow colour. The body: oblong shape, with a bump on the back. It is elongated and ends in rounded tip to receive the joints of the thighs. It is also perfectly proportionate. The limbs: the arms are long and bent at their ends.. rather disproportionate in their length, but it is the steiff style that wants it. They end with long curved hands.

Legs with rounded thighs at the top, refine at the ankles and end with long narrow feet. The inside of the hands and the underfoot are made of beige felt. 3 black cotton claws are embroidered in the hands and feet.

The whole thing is drunk old-fashioned, very firmly. It has a cardboard label, circular, held on the chest indicating ; historische. Record on the fabric label retained by the button: made in Germany by. Steiff in a small bear drawing.. 029233 (vertically on the right side). Survey on the small booklet hung on its neck: the miniatures steiff are true historical reproductions. Ancient originals and can be considered small masterpieces.
