Vintage Art New Great Pewter Fish Plateau By Gardener, Germany

  
Kayser sohn produced pewter items decorated with relief-molded art nouveau motifs in germany during the late 1800's and into the twentieth century. This fantastic fish platter is decorated with 3-dimensional aquatic figures.

The outside rim of the platter is endorsed with relief-molded water lily flowers, buds and leaves. The center tips oven koi of various sizes swimming about. The platter measurements an impressive 24 1/2" in length and 11" in width. Fully marked in thought lettering within an oval "kayserzinn 4128" the condition is wonderful with no cracks or teeth. There is the presence of some utility marks from use and the inherent softness of the pewter metal.
